First Week summary
This week has been eventful and productive. We have started the project in full working mood . Everyone in the team seems to be determined to do well, thing I am very happy about. I am satisfied with my team , we are a very diverse group of people .We started as 7 members but another member joined us shortly. Being 8 people now it is going to be easier to respond to the goals of the brief : design an 8-outfit collection for Coast. Our aim is to reinvent occasional wear , giving the brand a fresh new vibrant look. We are pleased to work with the brand , even tho it is quite different from any of our styles .
Working for the Resort Collection we think we have more freedom then the other groups in terms of experimentation .
At the moment our concept is quite vague: Impressionism . We all went different directions and brought imagery for our brain storm board. We have a good starting point that can be developed in outstanding designs.We managed to build a color pallet in the first week and that helped us during the concept development stage.
Our team gets along really well , showing good cooperation . We helped each other cut our trouser fabric for the trouser manufacturing workshop on Friday . During the Bicester Village we accompanied each other into shops and took important photos , vital for our brand research . We were all assigned a brand to research , mine was Valentino .
It has been pleasure working with my team this week , for next Monday we have decided to continue our research and bring to the table concept development pages and new interesting directions.
