Coast Live Project :Print Development -Hand Painting and Print

Coming closer to the mid of the project I am trying to take the prints away from an experimental approach and bring them closer to our concept

Above are a couple of hand paintings I did Inspired by the work of Artist Like Gauguin, Picasso or Monet as well as by Namysamay embroidery.

Note:The Prints are still in progress and a lot of work is being done to them in order to find a better way of translating artwork into fashion prints.

Coast Live Project : REFLECTION- Week 4

                                              Week Four Summary 

SUCCEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!At the end of week for after the Easter holiday we got our work together again and it was all working so well. Everyone contributed to the work and we got to a stage where w could see everything coming together. I was really happy , I was kinda proud!!!

For the past week I have been meeting with both groups making sure that we are all working and we are all producing relevant work . It feels that now after people produced Primary research and experimentation that we are all on the same page . Our work interrelates and it look good together . I am over the moon excited that the time I have spend with both groups payed off .

              My design and print proposals were appreciated by my team mates and tutors, and i am very excited to continue developing them.

                  Print Development/Screen Prints and Hand painted canvases

            I have experimented in the dye room and i've aimed to produce new interpretations of impressionist paibtings.

Below is my team mates work , she wanted to take my print designs and transform them into animal designs. The ideea is not bad but i am not sure is contemporary enough or that it works with Coast
I am excited to see development out of it
This is our last meeting before the Eatser break. We all knew what we have to do and we were all keen to keep working togetehrb on development during this time.

Coast Live Project :Toile development/Lectra Pattercutting

First Toile 

My final outfit is going to be a jumpsuit . Jumpsuits are a key item in the Coast range , and one of my favorite item of clothing ever . I want to offer a relaxed fit jumpsuit that looks interesting and hard to make . 

The design is not final and its going to undergo a couple of changes during the construction stage .

First , I am focusing on how to get the right fit . 

Below is a couple Lectra Modris pattern developments .I like the idea of not having a side seam and making it drape  on the body .

I want to explore more with this first idea , therefore I am going to cut it out of callico and drpe it on a stand , see what kind of experimental work i can produce.
