During the Collage and editorial workshop we focused on Re-appropriating the meaning of
images. Focusing on concept and how to create a
narrative.We were mainly collaging from
photocopied editorial references
with a focus on using
contemporary relevant material. I have personally chosen to make references to gender inequality , objectification of woman and the society set standards that women can't be sexual beings in the same way as men.I have used different mixed media starting from paper , paint , acrylics, to pencil and paper folds.In my work I have taken inspiration from Barbara Kruger's work.
