Coast Live Project: Reflection and Summary Week 9

                                                         Week 9
Week 9 is the final hand in week . We were all sewing our final garments and taking care of our previously assigned duties for the presentation. My job was to do the illustrations for the final line up and for the design pages in the presentation. I have also reorganized the presentation and created new boards for it.I have designed tags for our collection and sourced hangers.
I've fulfiled ll my group work jobs even if i ws very busy with sewing ,The embroidery machine started working again and I was able to finally get on with the production of my bags. I couldn’t work on them because the embroidery machine was broken.no worries tho !!! I’ll manage.
My garment is not as well stitched as i would have wanted it to be but I’ve learned a lot and a feel more confident about handeling difficult to sew.

Today , a day before deadline i split open my finger and i needed to go to e&a , no problem tho , I’ll work through it , I worked to much to give in now .
I have passed the presentation work to the other members of my team , but it was 75% done at the time . I have sourced the information , organised it and created design manual pages for each outfit ! Now I am just waiting for the final presentation ! Very excited !!!

Coast Live Project : REFLECTION - Week 8

                                                Week eight Summary

During week eight everybody started the production of the final garments . I have had finished all my toile and started on cutting my final fabric . I have also made embroidery for my bags. Exactly BAGS , I am making not one but two bags!!!!FUN!!!I was very excited to get the fabric for the bags embroidered as fast a possible and start on the final production but the embroidery machine was broken
At this stage everybody knows what they are doing and everyone is just carrying on with their work.
I have started cutting my final jumpsuit fabric and the bags.
I have decided to show  why did it take me so long to DO MY PATTERNS.  I was trying to achive the best fit by using the least amount of fabric possible . Both of the fabrics I am using for the Jumpsuit are digitally printed so i was trying to achieve the most efficient way to reduce the size of my pattern so it still looks drapey  but it uses less fabric .I have done a total of around 30 layplans and modification sets in order to achieve this .

Examples of lay plans calculations with the help of Lectra Marker Manager

Lectra Modaris simulations of the final Jumpsuit and bags
